We had an 8:00 reservation at the Warren American Whiskey Kitchen in Delray Beach. I did not know what to expect with the crowd at that time. Most other restaurants in Delray Beach and Southern Florida tend to have early dinner crowds. So by 8:00 the restaurants tend to be winding down and by 9:00 they look like they are ready to close. This was not the Warren.
It was hoping and only got more busier as the evening progressed. In fact, when we left at close to 10:00, there was not a seat to be had. The bar was packed and it was as lively as could be. Definitely a scene. If you want to talk about a Vibe, the Warren definitely had the lively fun vibe. That is reason enough to go to the Warren!!
Surprisingly, the food was as good as the vibe. That means it was excellent.
We started the meal with an order of the Bread Service for $11. Normally this is something that I would pass on since I grew in an environment where bread and water were free. I do not understand how restaurants now charge for bread. By adding some fancy herbs they are trying to get us to pay over our hard earned dollars for something that they should be providing as part of their normal service. Will they be charging us for silverware next. With that being said, the Warren has delicious bread that is fresh from the oven. I enjoyed it so much that I brought home the left over bread. Next trip, restaurants you should be aware that I may take your Sweet ‘n Low.

We started with the Korean Fried Chicken and a Caesar Salad. The Korean Fried Chicken was almost a perfect dish. The flavor was intense and the chicken was tender. I say almost since I tend to stay away from friend food. But this dish is totally worth an exception.

The Caesar Salad was served with Baby Gem Lettuce still in a bunch. Typically, this is not my favorite presentation. While it looks nice, the dressing tends only to be on the outside of the lettuce. I did enjoy the salad but the center pieces of the lettuce did need more dressing. I would think about reworking this presentation.

For entrees, we had the Miso Honey Glazed Salmon and the Wagyu French Dip. The Salmon was delicious. Most other restaurants would do the miso glaze on a white fish because the salmon has such a stronger taste. But the chef did amazing job with the salmon that this glaze definitely complimented the Salmon. Hats off to the chef.

The French Dip was really tasty. They toasted the bread and had the au jus for the dip. Just a great dish but I have to say that the Salmon was the star entrée here.
The key question is whether I would go back to Warren American Whiskey Kitchen in Delray Beach. The short and simple answer is yes because it was so good. Actually, I was going to say yes and twice on Sunday but that would be a lot of food for one day!!
