I have my big drive today. From New York to Florida, a drive of 1,270 miles. I decided to leave early on Saturday morning to avoid the traffic. Left at 4:38. My goal is to make it to Maryland House in Maryland as my first stop. It is cold out, about 21 degrees. So, I know I will not get the same mileage in my Tesla Y as I usually do. Fingers crossed that it heats up so I won’t have to make more stops. The cold really kills the battery and the distance.
Arrived at Maryland House. 3 States Down with 6 to. I was wrong on the traffic. I do not know why people are on the road this early especially on the weekend. Battery Mileage is definitely impacted by the cold. Behind schedule but I am hopeful.
I am following through on the 80% charge rate. It would take me an hour to charge to 100% but about 25 minutes to charge to 80%. More to follow3
