I found this interesting article on the Best and Worst Airports for a Boozy Layover. They basically rank the nation’s airports on which have the best bar scenes in the USA.
The criteria they use is
- Concentration of Bars and Restaurants Serving Alcohol (Per Square Mile)
- Number of Bars and Restaurants Serving Alcohol Per Daily Passengers
- Quality of the Places Serving Alcohol
My observation is the analysis will skew towards those airports that have more bars as opposed to those that have the best bars. It is almost like quantity trumps quality. Their report list the top 5 airports as follows:
1. Logan International Airport (BOS)
2. Nashville International Airport (BNA)
3. Kansas City International Airport (MCI)
4. Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)
5. Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY)
I prefer the quality analysis like they mention later in their article which has Kansas City as number 1 (this is based upon Google reviews).
