Once again we were in Wilton Manors and my wife was dying to try the Union Kitchen and Bar. The restaurant was laid out with both a front and back patio along with seating inside. The seating in front was really comfortable. They added a whole lot of shielding to create a barrier from the Dixie Highway. They did a great job on the decor. |
As to the food options, I did find it challenging on what to eat especially on the entrees. We decided to go with a bread basket, grilled octopus, chicken wings and empanadas to start with. Following that, we had a burger and grilled branzino for our main courses. |

We absolutely loved the appetizers. The bread basket was definitely worth the $7 even though on principle, I do not like paying for bread. They provided 3 different types of bread. Each more tasty than the last. |
The chicken wings hit the right spot with the Peruvian spices. I should have just had that for dinner, it was so good. The octopus also killed especially with the grilled corn on the side. They were hitting all the high notes. |
The only appetizer that was average was the empanadas. They really need to step up its game to be on par with the other appetizers. |
As to the entrees, we loved the grilled branzino. It was so light and tasty. They prepared this dish perfectly. It really balanced out our appetizers. As to the burger, what I can say. They grilled it just how they should. I had no complaints but the star of the show was the branzino. |

No dessert tonight since we were so full from our appetizers and entrees. It did disappoint my wife who is always up for something sweet!! |
