Finally, we found an airline that looks out for its passengers and crews. Delta refused the boarding of an intoxicated and belligerent passenger on a recent flight according to LiveandLet’sFly. You can tell from the video that someone posted on YouTube how drunk the passenger was
As you would expect, once this passenger was denied boarding, she became belligerent and claimed that it was her right to be on the plane since she is an American.
I applaud Delta for refusing the boarding of this passenger. If they let her on the plane, a whole bunch of bad things could have happened. She would most likely make the airplane staff miserable with her behavior. She could have been a disruptive influence to other passengers. If you can remember that the Ryanair incident where a passenger became so drunk that the airline needed to make an unscheduled stop forcing major delays for the airline and its passengers. To avoid travel interruptions and headaches, it is positive news that Delta did not permit this passenger on its plane to cause issues for other passengers and its crew. Major kudos to Delta!!!
It does beg the question on whether other airlines will follow suit or just maintain their current lax approach on drunk passengers. Time will tell.
