Costco EV Charing Update, Electrify America is the Source

Recently it was announced that Costco Wholesale would be installing their own DC fast chargers at their warehouses.  We recently found out that Electrify America will be the suppliers.

Electrify America recently shared details of Costco’s new rollout of EV charging, beginning at five locations across three states: California, Colorado, and Florida.

The charging stations have been integrated into Electrify America’s US network, enabling EV drivers to easily locate them and pay for a session through the company’s app.

Here are the five initial locations where EV charging is now available:

  • Clermont, Florida: 4600 Collina Terrace – 6 Hyper-Fast chargers
  • Denver, Colorado: 4717 Airport Way – 6 Hyper-Fast chargers
  • Loomis, California: 4107 Sierra College Blvd. – 14 Hyper-Fast chargers
  • Pleasanton, California: 7220 Johnson Drive – 10 Hyper-Fast chargers
  • Sacramento, California: 3881 E Commerce Way – 10 Hyper-Fast chargers

I am excited for this installation.  What better way to kill some time but to shop at Costco.  The only problem that I see is that the fast-charging process typically is shorter than my typical Costco trip.  At Buc-ees, I have had to move my car prior to finishing my shopping.  That is annoying.  I wait to see how this process develops.
