Essential Travel Accessories -- Extra Travel Bag

As the summer is getting underway, more and more people are traveling and people fret on what they should take on their trips. Most sites recommend the following as the best accessories to take on a trip

8. Surge Protector — Actually what is valuable about this is that it adds outlets to your room. There are a lot of hotel rooms that do not have enough outlets and with our ever increasing technology demands, you can not have enough outlets.

9. Travel Wipes — Always good to clean surfaces from germs like airplanes and hotel rooms.

10. Noise Cancelling Headphones — If you are traveling on a plane or any other means, it is great to be able to tune out the rest of the world so you can relax.

A great list, no argument but it does not include an important item that has come into play for me and my family. What happens if your bags are too heavy after your trip resulting in your bag being over the the permitted allowance. This typically happens if we buy somethings that we put into our suitcases. Domestically, some airlines like Delta will charge you $100 for bags with excess weight while you can check an additional bag for $45. On international flights, a second bag will cost you $100 but if your bag is overweight, it can cost between $150 to $285 based upon your destination.

There are a couple of ways around this additional charge, you can sign up for the airline’s credit card or you can bring an extra bag. If you fly an airline regularly, we suggest you sign up for their credit cards., If not, a simple extra bag can do the trick. Enjoy your travels and shop away!!
