Don't Travel with a George Constanza Wallet

Travel Advice of the Day

Don’t Travel with a George Constanza Wallet. This advice is not only for the hoarders of the world. We all tend to store paperwork and other items that we thing we will need. I am sure that there is someone in our group who has a forgotten receipt from months ago and possibly business cards and other non relevant material in their wallet.

When you travel, you need to reduce the extra stuff that you may take with you. This includes cleaning out your wallet including extra credit cards that you will not need on your trip. If you do not, you will soon regret it.

In the same vein, you should prune out all other extraneous items that you may travel with. For example, there is no reason to take a full bottle of shampoo or conditioner when you can take travel size bottles of your shampoo and conditioner. Using these travel size bottles will allow you to use them in both your carry on as well as checked bag. If in your checked bag, then these travel size bottles will weigh less and you can hopefully avoid excess baggage fees.
