AC Marriott Gainesville Downtown

The next stop on my hotel tour of Gainesville is the AC Marriott Gainesville Downtown. The hotel is a relatively new one so everything is fresh and clean. We really enjoyed the room and the gym. Did not have the chance to use the pool or have drinks by the fire pit. That would have been nice.

The location is great especially since it is right by campus. As a plus, it is not far from a Krispy Kreme in case you have to make a pit stop.

The parking options are limited to valet at $30 a day. The good news is that they have EV charging capability for those who are interested.

They serve a traditional breakfast which is not included. From what I can tell, there is no M Lounge at the hotel.

The downside is the cost which turns out to be a common challenge we face. On non peak days, you can get a room for $200 a night. But on peak weekends, the price jumps to $800 a night.

My recommendation is that the AC Marriott Gainesville Downtown is a good hotel to stay at but be careful of the premium pricing for peak weekends.
