I was reading an article in which Kwik Trip was named the Best US Gas Station Brand for the 5th straight year. I have to challenge this award. Maybe if Kwik Trip is the best gas station in the Midwest but I do not buy that they are better than Buc-ee’s in Texas and the southeast. Let alone, placing Buc-ee’s at 10th on the list.Let me break it down for you. Buc-ee’s has the cleanest bathrooms according to Cintas. Also, no other gas station has 120 gas pumps and a convenience store the size of a Target. I do not know how anyone could spend less that an hour shopping at Buc-ee’s. In the convenience store they have a deli counter dedicated just to Jerky. Not just any jerky but you have some of the spiciest jerky that I ever had.
If the jerky was not enough, Buc-ee’s has the best brisket around. In fact, Food and Wine declared that the “brisket at Buc-ee’s is better than brisket where you live.” Add on top of it the homemade fudge, beaver nuggets, egg sandwiches and beaver tails. They love their beaver in Buc-ee’s (which is their mascot). Once you eat at Buc-ee’s, you will not have to eat again for another week.
Buc-ee’s also has an incredible clothing section where you can buy everything Buc-ee’s. I know that I have a bunch of shirts and dog paraphernalia. I know people who proudly wear Buc-ee’s bathing suits and Hawaiian shirts. I may have expand my Buc-ee’s wardrobe next time I am there. The pride that people have in go to Buc-ee’s puts to shame any other Gas Station. I beg for proof that anyone is in the same category as Buc-ee’s.
With that being said, Buc-ee’s is the best gas station rest stop in the southeast and the USA. Prove me wrong!!
